    Plugin URI: Static Random Posts

    Allows the display of random posts, but allows the admin to determine how often the random posts are refreshed. With Static Random Posts, the random posts will remain the same for a set amount of time.

    What a cool idea. I once whipped up a bit of code to display a random post when a user clicked a certain button in the menu but never thought of displaying a random list of headlines in the sidebar - especially the way in which you describe.
