  4. @ UKBlogger - Thanks for the info.

    @randall - I had a look at both themes and visually they are identical. I ran a diff on both sets of files and they are 99% identical. Since ThemeShift releases their themes under the GPL you have the right to modify and redistribute their work but how is your theme "different" or "better" than the original?

    I see you mention the original (destyle by Simon Rimkus) in the style sheet but shouldn't you also retain the footer link especially since you ask your users to do so?

    On a sidenote, here is a clarification on the GPL: end-users may modify the code as they see fit. This includes removing any credit to the original author. However, if the end-user redistributes the code he must document the modifications as well as include credit to the original author.

  5. it is heavily based on 0.9 destyle indeed as mentioned in the stylesheet and changes are in the changelog.txt, altough i see i left out the 1.0 when i added the changelog to the .zip
    biggest change was the wp 2.9 native thumbnail support

    there are several changes that i wanted to add this weekend but personal matters kept me from testing it thoroughly enough like build in analytics support, changeable colours from the admin menu and a few more, will release this along with more 3.0 functionality like the new menu management system in the coming days.
    depending on the football results i will hopefully make a little nicer release page as well.

    changelog 1.5
    * add thumbnails to archives

    * changelog 1.4
    * added blog title header

    changelog 1.3
    * fixed validation error caused by 1.2

    changelog 1.2
    * fixed broken link to rss feed in the header

    changelog 1.1
    * added this file changelog.txt
    * changed the page menu not to show the home page, home is only in the categories now.
    * added extra description info to style.css
    * fixed footer text

    Changelog 1.0
    * removed custom thumbnail creation for posts
    * added support for native 2.9 wp thumbnail support
    * made "Copyright © YEAR" dynamic
    * added dropdown effect to child pages menu
