  1. BlogStarter is a free barebones starting point with a one-column and two column version. No complex hooks or theme frameworks to learn, just a hollowed out and reorganized version of the default theme with no images and limited style.

The one-column theme has a working dropdown menu across the top.

This is not meant to be a ready to go theme itself, but a great foundation for putting your own style on top of without having to cut out the extra style or images that any ready to go theme would come with.

  2. I haven't tested your theme on a site yet, but I notice in functions.php, you have some links hardcoded back to your web site. Where do the links appear on a user's site? Hopefully, it's just in the admin section.

  3. Hey gestroud,

Yes links are all in admin area. The idea was to have a link to keep people updated on the latest version of the theme, like plugins do. I am trying to improve the idea and every time I do a new site with it, I get new ideas that make it better. I have already made two small updates, each with several tweaks and I am about to do another.

I have noticed that most themes use the options area for options, but it could be used to keep everyone up to date which could be a really useful thing.

I am hoping for feedback from anyone using it too, so if you have ideas for making it better, please let me know.
