I did not get any answer why..The theme demands a bit of work from the user. This theme has a ton of widget space.</p> <p>With respect to the footer link, if you are releasing the theme under the GPL then you CANNOT demand the footer link stay. The GPL empowers the end-user to modify and re-distribute the code as he sees fit. The only requirement that must be met by the end-user, <em>if he is re-releasing the work</em>, is he must note the modifications and credit the original creator.</p> <p>Having said that keeping the link is a small price to pay for the hard work you guys put into creating these themes. It's only proper people leave the link there. The theme is not sponsored. Im not to sure if i can insist the footerlinks to be keept, but it is common practise among most designers. After all by removing the link to the designer you are not following good open source "spirit" as I see it. If you make big modifications on the theme the case is different as I see it.
