When you attempt to enter programming code onto a WordPress post or page, WordPress "helpfully" adds smart quotes to your apostrophes and quotation marks, as well as interprets html, leaving a mess for your readers to try to figure out what you were trying to share. My CodeQuote plugin allows you to enter code tags in your entry, and content within the code block will not be "fixed" by WordPress.

Please let me know if any complex code entries still get mangled, there are lots of "what-if" situations that could occur, but I can't handle those situations until I see specific examples of code that still gets mangled by WordPress' texturizer engine. So far basic html code, apostrophes, and quotations marks all work ok.
