After endlessly searching for a way to make post navigation for a theme I'm working on work the way I wanted it to, I hacked up a quick plugin that does exactly what I needed. The result is Post Links Redux version 1.0. What this simple plugin does is makes it so that if there isn't a next or previous post to the one you're currently reading, it will still show the title of your navigation links, but without the link...so your spacing stays consistent.

For more information and to download the plugin, please visit the homepage at http://reciprocity.be/plr .
