This is written by Manuel Amador Today, I’ll tell you an amazing story: how a blog post travels the Internet, in full detail. Few people know the power of blogs, in particular popular ones. To illustrate just how much leverage can a single blog post have, I’ll explain how a post travels around the world, from the moment it’s conceived into the distant future. As you read this story, hopefull you’ll learn a few awe-inspiring facts. The braindump: from idea to article The very first thing: a post must be conceived. Some people write several drafts, and […]

This is written by Haasim Mahanaim The so-called “Microsoft Scandal” began when Microsoft and public relations firm, Edelman PR, gave 90 influential bloggers high-end laptops. The machines were powered by Microsoft’s yet-to-be released operating system, Windows Vista. The computers were accompanied with a letter (or a phone call) that described the laptops as a “present” with “no strings attached”. Bloggers were free to keep the machines or give them away. They were told that they had no obligation to review Microsoft’s new operating system – let alone provide a favorable one. When news of the giveaway became […]

However, the new theme might have caused certain problems as well. I have heard complaints in two general areas: This blog is broken on Internet Explorer 6.x . Not sure if and how I can fix it since I do not have access to a machine with IE 6 and IE 6 is on its way out. I have received screenshots from a couple of helpful readers, but they only go so far to help. Any ideas or suggestions on fixes would be greatly appreciated. As you must have noticed, Weblog Tools Collection now has a new theme. It was custom designed by João Craveiro. We have tried to retain some of the familiar look and feel but also increase usability and visibility of the most commonly used features of the blog. The original design for this blog […]

Please rate this article using the star system below. The competition will be judged primarily on the input from readers like you. Thank you. This is written by Tyler Durden November 2006. Romania. I decided to add an element into the romanian blogosphere, an element that might shake it up so badly that people wouldn’t even know what hit ‘em. And that element, my friends, is a blog corecting the language errors of other blogs. And a purpose I had: get the blog on the front page of the most visited blog in Romania, in under 1 month. To ruin the surprise, I managed to achieve my goal in just a week’s time. This is my story. Being only a humble […]
