Anyone have experience with Simple:Press Forum? I don’t see it in the repository, but their forum looks a lot nicer than bbPress.

I had tried it on my sites a while ago, but when I upgraded to a newer version of wordpress (perhaps it was 2.8), all my forum installations broke and the newer version didn’t work.
Since then I’ve switched to using the forum installed with Buddypress.

Well, it’s a free plugin after all.

It integrates 2 big engines without their official support. Once any of them upgrades, it may break and require a fix.

That’s why I always wait some weeks and preferably subversion updates before upgrading to major versions :P

I am still happy with my tweetmeme button, bu if ever, I’ll just take note of the Simple Twitter Connect plugin you mentioned here.

whats obfuscates or obfuscator mean? lol

    • Hikari (26 comments.) says:

Read the plugin description and you’ll know :P

Obfuscating is making some content undetectable or impossible to understand to those you don’t want access to it, while its receiver is able to understand and use it.

Thanks for the great list of plugins. I think the NextGEN Gallery looks especially cool. I’ve played around with PHPBB, but got sick of all the spam and security holes. I wonder if Simple:Press Forum would be a better option? Thanks again.
