I tried to upgrade using the automatic upgrade plugin. It says it did a preliminary check and fown that I was up-to-date .. 2.3

I got little trouble after upgrade to wp 2.6 on login. But, after clear my cookies… it can solve the problem.

I upgraded to 233 and could not get my password to work. I decided to upgrade to 2.6 and now I have no blog. I get a http 500 page cannot be displayed. What’s the problem here?

Couldn’t tell you why thats happening in the first place but the .htaccess fix I posted will make sure it doesn’t happen anymore

That doesn’t explain why I’m getting 0 visitors on basbasbas.com (without www) and all of the traffic being on the www version, though.

That can likely be fixed by ensuring that visitors only see one version of the site.. either with www all the time or without. Use an .htaccess file in your Wordpress main folder for this.

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.yourdomain\.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yourdomain.com/1 [R=301,L]

That will force visitors who go to domain.com to see http://www.domain.com

@Zach (#5): Your stats are not missing. Go to your stats screen (not within the dashboard, put the actual page itself). Log in, if it’s not already logged in. At the top you have “Random hot post”. Below, there’s the URL of your blog and the button “Switch”.

My old stats were accumulated at basbasbas.com/blog, but after the switch I thought I lost all my stats, yet I was wrong… It started accumulating them as http://www.basbasbas.com/blog

So I can still access the old stats through there (without the www) and the new ones with the http://www. Not the way I want it, but nothing’s lost. Now to find a way to fix it.

Anyone found a working solution yet?

Some lovely new features, but I can’t access admin sections of my site anymore. Back to 2.5.1 for me, I’m afraid.

I’m experiencing the same problems as a few other users: I can’t get into the admin section on some of my sites. Of the few that I can access, I had to go through repeated sessions of closing my browser and clearing my cache to be able to get into the admin. I’ve been trying it with three different browsers.

Definitely I will be busy this weekend, automatic upgrade don’t work for me, it was always hang uploading the files, and also deactivating and reactivating all the plugins is also quite tedious, hopefully this will be solved in the next release.

Warning to those who are always after the “latest and greatest”: After upgrading from 2.5, I couldn’t log in to wp-admin anymore, so I went back to 2.5. Until this bug is fixed, I’m not upgrading. This is a pain in the….

Upgraded last night - my first time to jump on the bandwagon so soon. I had a crash, but was able to fix it fairly quickly. Now to get familiar with the changes before updating client sites.

I figured it out, current themes (of course) don’t have any caption stuff in the CSS. You can grab the relevant bits out of the default theme if you like that look (and I do).

I was a little frightened at first to do the upgrade as it would be the first time for my blog to get one. I was hoping it could be done like many of the plugins, automatically. It wasn’t though and I had to do it manually. It worked out pretty darn good though and I haven’t experienced any problems. I’m using a bunch of plugins and FF 3.0.
