Anyone using more than one sidebar is going to find the new Sidebar/Widgets page frustrating. You can only work with one sidebar at a time.

To move widgets from one sidebar to another, first you have to remove the widget from one sidebar, save the page, display the page for the sidebar you want to move to, add the widget and then save the page. It’s a lot of extra work. I feel sorry for those of us using three or more sidebars.

Since i installed wordpress 2.5 beta i have noticed a few bugs. I downgraded and then couldnt get into my site. Possibly 2.5 is hashing the password differently and putting it in a new location? If it wasnt for phpmyadmin i was in a sticky spot. Also, i hate the way the “visit site” opens into a new window/tab. I also heard that wordpress 205 had a built in Gallry?…rumours?? As for the design, call me old fashioned but i like the way it was.

Does this new release break existing themes? I hope that, unless it’s absolutely necessary, we won’t all have to update themes. If anyone knows, feel free to reply and let me know.

Yep, I can confirm a slight problem with Maintenance Mode and upgrading. Works fine afterwards, though.

I upgraded to WordPress 2.5, and it was quite easy. I can’t see any major bugs yet, but I’d like to provide an important tip: Maintenance Mode DOES NOT work. I didn’t disable it, and therefore I had to rename the directory in which the plugin lived to be able to access the front and back ends.

Nice, though the Gravatars probably have me deactivating Favatar, which kinda sucks. Other than that, some nice additions, a few useless ones (admin-theme) and some continued stuff (what are Incoming Links good for anyways? And why do they get top spot in the dashboard? Not that they work properly, anyways).
So, yea, I will upgrade as soon as I know about plugin and theme compatibility.

Is there any way that you can stream the posts through RSS only in english? It’s getting very very long post to scroll with 2-3 translations. Is it possible to separate them anyhow?

not switching over with the main site this week, I think things are not yet totally ready to go live with plenty plugins and themes. however, great work and real cool changes coming up!
