D. Brent Miller had some interesting idea there. I already had that thought in mind. Currently Windows Live Writer can do pretty good but I notice when it come to tagging for selfhosted WordPress it’s totally useless. So I decided to not use it because after posting I will have to jump online and modify the tags.

I’m a software developer but seem like such project is out of my reach as it require some good experience in making text editor as well as advanced formatting functions.

Hope this is not too out off topic. Let’s wait for the WP forum to be opened? Or should I open it by myself ;)?

This publisher’s forum is a great idea. Unlike many of the other WP publishers, I am a WP user that occasionaly plays with the various features and plug-ins, trying to get the most functionality out of my web site. And, I try to keep it simple. I am not a programmer.

I have a suggestion: Currently, I use MS Windows Live Writer to post to my site. It is a great tool. Occasionaly, I have to post a draft to the site and finish it using the WP tools and plug-ins like PodPress.

Has anyone thought of creating an off-line authoring tool for WP that mirrors the online functionality? It could be a killer app for a lot of users that like to create posts off-line.

This is great. May be more helpful if they tell how big is big enough to be included.

I had a looked at that Publisher blog and asked myself: Why didn’t they open a Publisher forum instead? Isn’t it more interactive when using forum and everyone can help the others?
