I will be traveling in China through the earlier part of December. This is a great opportunity for me to meet some of my Chinese readers, fellow bloggers and WordPress aficionados. If you are interested in meeting, are knowledgeable about the area or could provide some tips, please leave a comment or contact me directly. As the itinerary stands, the following times are open for me.
Beijing: December 2nd, Evening
Qinhuangdao: December 3rd and 4th, Evening
Shanghai: December 6th and 9th, Evening
Hangzhou: December 7th, Evening
Judging from my reader statistics, I have quite a few readers in China. If you are reading this blog from China, where do you live?

[Reply] mo — 11/21/2007 @ 8:02 amOuch! China in winter. You might find Beijing cold, dry and polluted. A face mask will help if you’re not used to that kind of environment.

[Reply] Brian (1 comments.) — 11/21/2007 @ 10:02 amHi Mark..
I live a couple of hours out of Beijing. Unfortunately it’s very unlikely that I’d be able to meet you on the 2nd. I would have loved to, as I’m a plugin author (DualFeeds and IFrameWidgets) and you’re a plugin author’s best friend!
Hope you have a great time in China!

[Reply] Rick (2 comments.) — 11/21/2007 @ 1:35 pmHere’s a tip. Don’t buy anything for more than 30% of the starting price when bargaining with the locals. It sounds like you’re getting a great deal at 3/4 of the price, but it’s that cheap. The local consumers get mad when visitors pay too much. It raises the overall price for everyone.
