And accept my apologies. I actually use Quick Zip, and unknown to me, it actually decompresses the rar files. Who’d a thought it! Thanks again for the English link. I do realize I need to expand my horizons!

My apologies, James. I do try to review every site and provide an English version of a download site. Sometimes, one will slip past me (usually because I forget to add the English link).

As far as the .rar files go, I usually link to most compressed file formats as there are compression utilities out there that will open most such files. Personally, I recommend 7-zip since it’s freeware and works, to my knowledge, with any compressed file type out there.

It would be really cool if in the listing of plugins on this site a reader was given some sort of indication as to the language of the destination sites, and whether or not the download is in a format normally associated with WordPress plugins (zip or php or text, etc).

For instance, the Multi Image Uploader “sounds” promising until you get to the site and realize it is a very unfamiliar language (to me at any rate, if I am in the extreme minority here, please accept my apologies) and that the download is of the .rar file type.

Does anyone actually download and review plugins (or themes for that matter) before they get posted here? Or am I under the mistake conception that this is a review and recommend site?

Ah, Report Comments! Looks like a nice idea. My site doesn’t get a huge number of comments despite hovering around the 2500 subscriber mark, not really sure why, but every now and again there are inappropriate comments that I may not spot…be very useful to have a reporting tool for readers to utilize.
