When I did some researching for mini-howtos on these topics I ran into hundreds of tutorials how to get the job done on the shell. But guis like &lt;a href="http://tortoisesvn.net/" rel="nofollow"&gt;tortoise svn&lt;/a&gt; are great tools, especially on windows. Tortoise SVN won the sourceforge community choice award 2007. That kicked me to write the tutorial.</description>
