I guess it wasn’t explained in detail when I was mentioning the storytelling part. Since Storytelling requires creativity, I figure a good storyteller would be able to take what they know, wrap it up in a neat bow and send it out to the world.

Besides, creativity is acquired as a person grows, their knowledge to manipulate what they see depends on what they experience in the past. That’s why it’s important to still be out there before blogging. Knowledge outside works well with knowledge inside and that’s what makes a blogger good.

I think you’re missing one key ingredient: creativity. Anyone that has a long term successful blog is creative, and it’s not something that everyone is born with. Creativity is what enables great bloggers to keep writing; they see their topic through different lenses all the time, and this reveals new facets to write about.

If a company wanted to really build a think tank of great minds to just be purely creative, they could do far worse than hiring some of the top-tier bloggers.
