WP Plugin: Commenter Spy Geo-locate your commenters using GeoTool and this plugin. Looks like GeoTool is hosted on a cablemodem so its longevity might be suspect.

    1. I’ve made my own version of a lookup tool using MaxMind software combined with Google maps. I’ll release a new version of the plugin in the next couple of days. Until then you can use the URL http://geomaplookup.cinnamonthoughts.org/?ip= instead of the GeoTool one (just edit the plugin).

    2. The version 1.1 update of Commenter Spy now uses GeoMapLookup — a service to display the geographical location (via Google Maps; coordinates provided by MaxMind’s GeoLite City) of the IP address used by your visitor who left the comment. Additionally Counterize IP URLs are now supported so you can locate your visitors who took a look at your blog!
