May i insist that YAPB isn’t a hack. Differently from total conversions like Pictorialis it doesn’t touch the original WP-Code - It’s using it instead.

So you can use all security patches and general updates without worrying if the blog continues to work (But only if they changed no major things in the core plugin mechanics).

One user even reported compatibility with WP 2.1 Alpha 3
