I use toolbar almost all time and now, after releasing v4 with custom buttons feature I use the Google Toolbar also for search on Yahoo or MSN

I use the Google toolbar in Firefox all the time.

Alt-x, search terms, enter. I rarely type a single word, and I use things like the Google calculator, Dictionary lookup, special questions, and currency conversion all the time too.
I use the spell check, especially for checking blog posts! Alas it doesn’t work in FF 1.0.7 on Ubuntu Linux.
I also glance at the page rank of a page I’m viewing occasionally.

I’m a habitual googler and I almost always use the Google toolbar ( for Firefox ) search field to find what I look for. The toolbar has an Ajax method of suggesting search terms,, which sometimes helps me find better terms.

And it is fast and always available. Recommended

I use the FF search bar with Google 99% of the time. I hardly ever go to the google homepage anymore. I don’t do it out of any sort of preference, it’s just a habbit.

I’ve use the integrated search bar in Opera to search Google, mainly due to convenience and speed. Instead of having to waste time going to the Google homepage, I can simply type in my query in the search bar and go directly to the search results. The Google Toolbar doesn’t offer anything I don’t already have in my browser, and since I also use Answers.com for my searches, the integrated search bar adds extra value.

I think it’s impossible for me to migrate to any other browser anymore. I’m too used with the CTRL+K keyboard shortcut to the Google search bar, and it’s too damn convenient. And if used in addition with CTRL+T (new tab), then I always have a new search window at my disposal!

Any other browsers which would like to convert me to their cause needs a Google toolbar CTRL+K shortcut too, heh.

At first I completely agreed. I never used the search option in the toolbar. BUT after learning CTRL+K (App+K on Mac I think), I think I will really start to use it. Awesome!

I dont feel that I get any information from the Google Toolbar that I can use for anything, mind you I’m a Firefox user. I’ve always used the built-in Google search in the browser, and use Google as start page.

I always use the FF search box or IE toolbar. Why take the extra steps to visit Google’s site? I have FF set to open a new tab on search so that saves another step.

I never, ever, ever go to the Google homepage — it’s toolbar only for me. I also don’t use the Firefox search bar for Google (though I use it for lots of other things, usually Wikipedia and IMDb) because I can’t live without the toolbar find-on-this-page feature and prefer not to live without easy access to the other Google searches, like Images and Gmail, and remembered searches. My dedication to the toolbar is such that I couldn’t switch to Firefox until it was available.

Ctrl-K on Firefox. Always. I only see google homepage because it’s the default page on one of my computers.

I tend to use the search bar firefox comes with. Most of my searches are through google. However, I do try and use A9 once every day or so to keep my discount on Amazon. I also use A9 when I have a specific book I’m looking for because normally it brings up the amazon link within the first few hits and satisfies the “use A9″ requirement for the discount.

I love the google search bar in firefox, and have to say I only ever visit the google homepage (personal) to check my gmail - and I never visit the plain google homepage. To be honest tho’, other than searching, the only feature I use is the rank button, I like to see the “google view” on the web every now and again

Before Firefox I was always on Safari so I guess that I shouldn’t answer the question because we know the google search on the browser since a long time. Thus for me it’s a reflex to use the google bar in my firefox, I only have to open a tab, enter my query and here I go for another web surf
Since I know that little field for searching without going to google.com ( before I was on PC and didn’t like to download any toolbar since it’s always meant spam and pop-up behind ) I don’t really go on the main page of google. It always give me a strange feeling when I do, like visiting an old and almost forgotten friend :p
