    1. Being an old-school eBay Developers Programme member I was quite excited until I realised the contest is only open to citizens of the United States. Argh, do you think I can enter if I pay myself the prize money and pay my own flights & fee to the EmTech conference?

    2. I wanted to get in on this but in trying to develop stuff in java, I found their server response times were horrendous. I would make a request and the response would take on the order of seconds to return. I read some of their forum topics about this sort of thing and their response amounted to “sorry, too bad.”

    4. I’m happy to say that gumshoo.com was winner of an Honorable Mention in the 2006 eBay Developer Challenge. We have used the eBay API to do sohpisticated filtering and risk analysis on eBay auctions. Check us out!
