Windows “Live” Software Lots of news coming out this morning from Microsoft press conferences and demo’s. Very mixed reactions ranging from “this sucks” to “this might be cool enough to watch very closely”. You judge for yourself. This is the link to the “Live Ideas” page from Microsoft. Lots of AJAX, does not work well with Firefox (yet?).

  1. So with the fact that Vista is complete bloatware (2Gb of RAM for an OPERATING SYSTEM?) and the fact that you’ll now need to subscribe to get the full features of the product you’ve paid for, this is a very promising time for the world’s most innovative software company. I’m talking about Apple of course!

  2. It works worse (aka: not at all) in Safari than Firefox.

“Live” provides additional features to Windows; it’s not part of Windows Vista, nor will it be advertised as part of it.
Regardless, Gates said many of the services will be free with ads.
