Harvard Offers Free Tuition For Low Income Families: This is pretty important information. Please pass it along to those that might be interested. I wish I could have afforded an Ivy education, let alone one at Harvard or the like.

    1. I think it’s great that they’re doing this, but it puts middle class in an absolute crack because of it. This is unbelievably annoying for a number of reasons. I try to look at it with humor…but it’s hard for me to laugh at the fact that I would have been eligible for three different scholarships had my family made $50.00 less than it did last year. Yes, fifty bucks.

Still, though, I hope many people take advantage of this! What a great thing for them!

    2. I think universities like Harvard will be able to finance more students if they ask for share of the student’s future income in return.

    3. The problem is there is only so much financing to go around, even at incredibly well off institutions such as Harvard. A recent (May 22) article in the Boston Globe highlights this when it states how students on waiting lists more likely to need aid are less likely to receive an invitation to the institution.
