  1. Found this a little while back and was glad for the explanation. I’ve always thought that this aspect of WP could use better documentation, since the UI doesn’t make the distinctions between the levels obvious.

  3. Small problem with the wordpress server - the codex urls get redirected to the plain domain. I’m guessing it will be fixed shortly.
