Interview with a Blog spammer from The Register: Nothing really revelatory here except the fact that “he” (the spammer) uses open proxies almost exclusively, which I contend is not true. Thanks Photomatt.

    1. Really? It would be interesting to run a more robust open proxy scanner against IPs submitting spam. Right now we rely on the RBLs which may be out of date.

    2. I have personally scanned for open proxies on many of the top spammer IPs and none of them have responded as open proxies. So I am quite sceptical of the methods that this spammer claims to use. I will try to put something together.
