UploadBin - Your own public upload repository 6comments

Author: Mark Ghosh Category: Cool Scripts

If you have not already used the UploadBin offered by Weblogtoolscollection.com click on the link and try it out. It is a public upload application for file distribution much like pastebin but for files (and much more secure for users).

However, since a lot of people are not comfortable with leaving their files on a public server and I have received a considerable number of requests for the source, I have put together an install for the product and it can be downloaded here. The software is released under the GPL and does not contain any warranties or gaurantees either implied or promised. Use at your own risk.

Please let me know if there are any bugs or if you have any suggestions.

WordPress Plugin Repository: Now thats the way to organize and distribute plugins and also give plugin developers their due credit and provide a centralized repository! If there is no detailed tutorial on the dev blog soon, I might be inclined to write something up since I have been a newbie to Trac myself (which ROCKS, BTW) and have been messing around with it quite a bit. Spam Stopgap Extreme - Elliott Back: This is a late post since Stopgap extreme has been out for a while. However, this is a clever idea that I think might work well for now. In order to post a comment, the client MUST execute a javascript MD5. THanks Elliot. (2)
