I am glad too, you probably haven’t heard of me yet, but I have a wordpress blog at http://www.thegiant.us I just launched it recently. I am from Jacksonville Beach, we had some nasty weather here, but we were lucky. The worst that happened for us is no power for a short time and a swinging stretched power line down in the front yard.
As someone who will be be opening a shelter in an hour, and is expecting to spend the next 72 hours there, I appreciate the sentiment. The only thing we can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
As someone who’s been through 5 hurricanes and with family now in both Tampa and Sarasota, the safety of those we know (even if just virtually) as well as those millions we don’t should be in all of our prayers this weekend. Believe me, when you’re in the path of one of these awesome monsters every bit of good thoughts help.
An avid fan of business, education, technology and finance. I lead a lean, highly focussed and capable team of Java Back End developers and Front End developers through a maze of complex software wizardry to fulfill the web maintenance needs of a large chemical manufacturer. As per Myers-Briggs Personality Types, I am an ESTJ. I pride in a project completed on time and according to plan. My hobbies include all kinds of technology, anything that I can taste and anything that goes fast or flies in the air. I like to read business books and comics in my spare time.
Thanks Mark, I am now back in Orlando, safe and sound
Sweet! Good to hear.
