*** Disable Script error in Internet Explorer (all versions) ***
this is the ONLY FIX to disable script errors in internet explorer

OK, everything else on the web says to check the box that says "disable script debugging" and uncheck the box that says "display notification about every scrip error"
thats all fine and dandy but THAT DOES NOT WORK, i have a fix
but first i will explain to you why NOBODY can rid themselves of this error message

1. internet explorer does not understand standard web page programming
2. internet explorer will ALLWAYS display this error for web pages it does not understand, and thare is NOTHING you can do to stop the error

SOLUTION
The ONLY solution is to install a different web browser, and not use internet explorer, Its simple and other browsers work the same as internet explorer except that they display the web FASTER and never ever have script erors

heres how to use a different web browser (and they are FREE)

- firefox web browser (recommended)
1. go to www.getfirefox.com and download and install the firefox web browser, the first time you start it it will ask you if you want to make firefox your default browser, click "yes"

done problem solved

-opera web browser go to www.opera.com and download and install the opera web browser, the first time you start it it will ask you if you want to make opera your default browser, click "yes"

done problem solved

in short thare IS NO WAY to disable internet explorer script errors, its a bad program that WILL ALLWAYS HAVE SCRIPT ERRORS, and the only thing you can do is not use it

i hope this was helpful

I found a solution at this site(http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=fb1634cb) to the Internet Explorer Script Error problem where blank windows keep popping up regardless of how you set Internet Explorer options. I also couldn't get to key pages like System Restore or User Accounts. Look at this blog for complaints by many others with the same problem: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1145429&SiteID=1

I am not convinced that one can ultimately get rid of any of these errors as long as one is running an MS OS. Delete operating system, get something based on UNIX.

am having a very annoying message - internet explorer script error. I have gone to tools and check on disable script debugging and off display a notification but I still get the message. I also got spyware scanner and had my computer scanned. Nothing was detected. Is there anyone who can tell me how to get rid of the message? I would really appreciate it.

I found that if you go in and configure the Norton Personal Firewall, you will find microsoft error reporting one of the things that can be configured by admit, block, and whatever. I blocked mine, and it actually stopped.

I recommend getting into your personal firewall and poking around. It is REALLY easy and you can change anything back by just redo-ing this procedure.

Unfortunately I have tried everything and it still won't go away. I am working on Windows 98 right now.Don't have a problem with XP.Have been everwhere trying to find an answer, but no luck. There has to be someone out there with an answer. Can't find a way to reach Microsoft about this yet either.

I ran several different spyware programs and antivirus programs, and none of them found anything. I uninstalled Norton Internet security and nothing happened. Finally, I uninstalled Internet Explorer and installed Mozilla firefox instead, and it was an instant fix!

I keep getting this very annoying message- internet explorer script error that pops up on my computer screen when I first turn it on. I noticed that sometimes when I X it out or click yes or no to continue running the script that it starts laughting and I end up shutting down my computer and restarting it. I've done a virus scan using mcafee with no success( didn't detect anything ). I went into internet options from the tools file and disabled script debugging and off display notification but I'm still getting the message. So now I confused I don't know what else to do to get rid of the message. Can anyone help me?
